Ventures

What I have founded, and what I am building now. Each entry says what the thing is, what problem it exists to solve, and what stage it has actually reached. Anything still in development is marked as such.

VRhino

VR fitness software that makes sport accessible to people the industry has never built for.

VRhino builds virtual reality fitness software on a simple premise: most people who drop out of a sport do so in the first few weeks, and almost all sports technology is aimed at the people who have already stayed. The work is at the entry point instead. In boxing, that means using the software to limit the injury risk that stops people starting and ends the participation of those who do. In swimming, it means making the hardest early weeks easier to get through and more enjoyable to repeat. It has been trading since September 2025, running events and generating revenue, which is the part I am most pleased about: the idea has survived contact with people willing to pay for it.

Outcomes

  • Live and trading since September 2025
  • Running events, with revenue generated

CourtDesk

AI booking software for padel clubs, and for the questions that arrive with every booking.

Padel is growing faster than the clubs running it can staff themselves, and a padel club lives or dies on its court calendar. CourtDesk manages the bookings and puts an AI assistant in front of them, so a member asking whether court three is free at seven, whether rackets can be hired, or what happens if it rains gets an answer at the moment they ask rather than when someone reaches the phone. The two halves matter together. Most of the administrative burden in a booking business is not the bookings themselves, it is the questions surrounding them, and that is the part no existing scheduling tool touches. Founded in July 2026 and in active development.

BoatXchange

A global resale marketplace for rowing boats, built for a market that has never had one.

Rowing shells are expensive, long lived and almost impossible to sell well. A club replacing a boat is dealing with a buyer somewhere on the other side of the world, no reference price, no standard way to describe condition, and no established process for moving either the money or the hull. The market clears slowly and badly, which pushes clubs toward buying new when a used boat would have served. BoatXchange is a marketplace built for that niche: listings organised around what actually matters in a hull, a global rather than local pool of buyers, and a resale process a club committee can follow without specialist knowledge. The software is in development, and we are currently seeking partners and distribution into the rowing community. I co-founded it with a partner who prefers to remain anonymous.
